One Step Too Far, by Tina Seskis

onesteptoofarThis is the story of Cat, a woman who has obviously experienced some sort of trauma in the past and has tried to escape it by reinventing herself.  She abandons her life, husband, family and begins anew to forget, escape, and renew herself.  The reader grows to like her new persona, and develops some hope for her success.  The author enhances the story with a bit of suspense, revealing small snippets of Cat’s past as you learn more about her new life and she heads toward an inevitable crash.  The anniversary of her tragedy looms large and things don’t work out as she hoped when tragedy strikes once again, forcing her to face her past.  I enjoyed the narration of this audio book with a gentle narrator that belies the suspenseful drama that unfolds.
