Thank you Sag Harbor!
Our budget vote passed tonight with 165 yes votes and 28 no votes.
Trustee votes, with three candidates running for three open positions on the board, were as follows:

Linley Whelan: 188
Alison Bond: 175
Nick Gazzolo: 173

The staff, the board, and I are very grateful for the public’s continued support. It seems fitting that this year’s vote was held during Banned Book Week, the annual celebration of libraries unwavering commitment to protecting intellectual freedom for the communities we serve.

The John Jermain Memorial Library is the public library in Sag Harbor, NY. Founded in 1910, the library building and initial collection was a gift from Margaret Olivia Slocum Sage to the people of Sag Harbor. From June 2011 to July 2013 the library will be located at 34 W. Water St., in Sag Harbor, while our historic building is renovated and expanded.
