“One for the Books” Dinner Parties Announced

This year John Jermain Memorial Library’s  premier fundraising event, One for the Books, takes place on Saturday, October 15th and Saturday, October 22nd. The Capital Campaign fundraiser offers 25 26 memorable book-themed dinner parties, each of which takes place in the home of a library supporter. Attendees  choose their party by book title only, and won’t find out the name of their hosts or the other guests until they arrive at the party.

The list of book titles chosen by this year’s hosts is as varied as the food that will be served. Speaking of food, as in past years there is a liberal sprinkling of cookbooks and other food-related volumes from which to choose. Other titles range from literary classics to just-published hot and trendy fare.

Without further ado, here’s the list of Books/Dinner Parties (each title links to more information about the book):

October 15th

Late Addition (8/16/11) to the October 15th Dinner parties:

October 22th

Call the Library at (631) 725-0049 ext. 244, for additional information or to reserve your place at the dinner party of your choice, or order tickets at johnjermain.org.
