The John Jermain Library's Weblog

Staff Picks for January

Sorry I am a little late getting this posted.  I am so happy to kick off our new feature at the John Jermain Memorial Library “Staff Picks.”  I was so excited when I first started to think about what I would choose as my topic.  I quickly realized that I probably could do a couple of different months.  This is probably why I love working in the Library.  I am always coming across new topics that are alot of fun to investigate.  I ended up picking the catagory 100 to 1001 [        ] musts you shoul see, read or visit before you die.  You fill in the blank and pretty much you can get a book that will cover the subject.  My top choices are “1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die”, “1001 Buildings You Must See Before You Die”, “America’s 100 Best Places to Retire”, “100 Best Books for Children” and “100 Words Every Word Lover Should Know.” My absolute favorite is “The 101 most influential people who never lived” I loved the author’s list and find myself mulling over their opinions.

So won’t you please come in and Browse my selections and perhaps I can help you find a few of your own.
